“Afterward, the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the lonely wilderness in order to reveal his strength against the accuser by going through the ordeal of testing.” (Matthew 4:1-3 TPT) Did you catch that? The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tested, and for what purpose? To reveal His strength.
How many times do we blame the enemy for the wilderness seasons in our lives. Those times of trials and tribulations when our faith is being tested we point the finger at the devil when in fact, it is God Himself who has led us into that wilderness to reveal the strength that is within us and increase our faith, trust and dependence on Him.
It’s easy to claim we have faith when all is going well, but will you stand strong and have faith when you’re facing a storm? Could it be that the storm was sent by God to test you and reveal what’s already inside of you?
Remember, that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!! (1 John 4:4)
