Israel Mission Trip Report

on May 3, 2014

We have returned from the Holy Land and what a trip it was!  The Lord sent us to Israel on an assignment to pray for the nation and its people and that is exactly what we did.  Although there are many experiences we could share here are some of the highlights

While we were there the Lord divinely connected us to the people that would take us to strategic places to pray.  One of these places was the Knesset in Jerusalem, which is the legislative branch of government.  We joined a tour group and took this opportunity to pray throughout the building.  We were taken to very important meeting rooms where critical decisions are being discussed and made daily.  We prayed for divine legislation and divine strategies to be given to the government officials sitting in those seats, and for Heaven to infiltrate their decisions on behalf of the nation.

We also traveled to Tel-Aviv to pray and make declarations over the military headquarters.  Our team walked to the observatory directly across the street where we sat to pray for Israels military as well as target some of the specific struggles that soldiers face, speaking life, purity, and releasing destiny.  That same evening we walked to the beach where we had the opportunity to minister to a couple of Jewish men.  One of the men was Ronnie, and when members of our team first approached him he was very troubled and without hope.  Yet on that day he asked for what we have and received Jesus as the Messiah!  As we gathered around and prayed, we watched as his countenance transformed before our eyes and was filled with joy!  Glory to God!

On our next to last day we met a fiery man of God who is a member of the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces).  He shared with us some important intelligence about what is really going on in and around Israel, and took us to our final destination, the Syrian border for a powerful time of prayer as we listened to the sound of mortar rounds going off in the distance.  We not only prayed for the peace and protection of Israel, but also for the salvation and transformation of the surrounding countries.

As the Apostle James said, The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5:16-18 NKJV)  In the same manner as Elijah, we partnered with heaven and believe our prayers shifted things in the atmosphere and will accomplish that which they were sent for.

Other experiences included a visit to a Messianic congregation, a Passover meal and teaching, powerful times of prayer and worship at the house of prayer in Jerusalem, and ministry all throughout our journey including bus rides and the streets.  We returned with our cup overflowing and a great sense of responsibility for all that we received.  Please continue to pray for us as we process what the Lord did and what our portion is going forward.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1-2)
