DFW United

on November 10, 2014

Hi Friends,

It is exciting to see what God is doing beyond the walls of our own city!   In the past several months the Lord has brought us into a core group of leaders that are pursuing unity with church leaders across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.  Pastors from small to large churches across DFW are gathering to build relationships, to pray and to encourage one another.

The mission of DFW United is to develop a family of Kingdom minded pastors and leaders who walk together covenantally to serve the greater good of Dallas-Fort Worth.  It is about laying aside denominational barriers for the great cause of Christ to reach our city with the gospel.  We share the same desire to walk together as brothers and sisters in Christ.  To prefer one another, celebrate with one another, serve one another, lift each other up, and to be intentional about relationships.  This is not about meeting for the sake of meeting, its about relationships and walking in unity.

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10

As part of this group we have had the opportunity to see what God is doing in the different cities that make up the greater area of Dallas Fort-Worth, and it is wonderful to see that His heart is for us to be of one accord!  We see more and more church leaders are hearing and responding to what Jesus made His final prayer in John 17, that we may be perfected in unity and be one as He and the Father are one.  Friends, we believe that agreement is what will bring about a great awakening in the church, and we are excited to see what God is going to do as we grow in unity!

We look forward to sharing more updates with you! Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

Blessings,

Tom & Lyly Ledbetter

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, Ephesians 4:1-6
