Hi Friends!
It is hard to believe that another year has come to a close and a new year has begun! It is a new season indeed and we are excited for what God has in store for us in 2015! But first, we would like to recap what the Lord did in 2014…
It was a big year for the Freedom Campaign, which is Kingdom Gravity’s anti-trafficking efforts. We began 2014 by hosting a trafficking awareness event which included a screening of the documentary Nefarious, Merchant of Souls. In the fall we held our first annual Run4Freedom 5K and raised ten thousand dollars, most of which went directly to rescue shelters in India and Cambodia!
We also had an incredible opportunity to travel to Israel in the spring. Our team from Texas joined forces with a team from Pittsburgh with a mission to pray. This was our first prayer-oriented and prayer-driven mission trip to the holy land. We traveled to strategic locations throughout Israel to pray as the Holy Spirit led us.
The second mission trip to Liberia was cancelled due to the Ebola outbreak, but we definitely had our hands full on the home front. We experienced a lot of growth within our East Gate community. The Lord sent us some of His best jewels to teach and impart. Additionally, through divine appointments we were invited to join a core group of church leaders pursuing John 17 unity within the body of Christ. The goal is to develop a family of kingdom-minded pastors and leaders who walk together in relationship to serve the greater area of Dallas-Fort Worth.
This past year also included domestic travel to places like Pensacola and Pittsburgh, among many other exciting journeys and adventures. There are too many too list but we thank God for what He did in 2014 and are expectant for what He has in store for 2015! We know this year will kick off with another international mission trip to South Africa in February for the purpose of teaching and equipping the church body. There will also be a mission trip to Ghana to explore solar power energy to potentially be implemented in Liberia’s schools.
On the home front we already have some direction on what the Lord wants to do within our East Gate community including adding nights dedicated to equipping and some solely for worship. We are brainstorming a new and exciting project for the Freedom Campaign, which would likely take place early in the summer. These are just a few of the things the Lord has shown us for 2015 and we look forward to the journey!
