Session 11 – The Role of Intercession & The Move of the Spirit

Dream is a reference point of intercession that has a target. Is it intrinsic or extrinsic?
- Intrinsic-Personal reference point
- External-Something external is the reference point
- At first we must understand all dreams have internal applications. A rule of intercession.
Hebrews 7:25-Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us.
-Jesus makes intercession on behalf of the Father’s will.
-Jesus must first be our intercessor which means He stands in our gap before we can stand in the gap on behalf of His will for others.
-Intercession is a conversation of Heaven that we get caught up in as Isaiah did in chapter 6.
-We become aware of His desires and we want top see them fulfilled.
-His will gives direction and aim to our intercessions in the earth.
-Intercession takes us into a realm of that which is not yet but we pray it into being!
Dreams are blueprints for His intercessions
**John 17 Model for Intercession and Building into His Will**
Jesus Models a Developing Sphere
1-Jesus Prays for Himself-He models having a personal prayer life with the Father
*Jesus says I have finished the work you have given me to do.
*Dreams illustrate assignments the work given us to labor in for us and those around us.
*It’s about His finished work and not about our unfinished failures.
*The Process of being perfected into His perfection. (Matt 5:48) (Call to be mature)
*Glorify Us together……this should be our primary desire.
2-Jesus then begins to pray for the people around Him-the 3, 12, 70, 100’s
*I have manifested Your Name to the men you have given Me.
*I’ve given them the Words You have given Me.
*Keep through You Name both those You have given Me through Your Name.
*That they may have My Joy fulfilled in them.
3-Jesus then begins to pray for those that will believe in His Name. (Future)
*We are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus-If He is seated in heavenly realms then I am seated with Him then I pray as He prays! He defines our target
*Everyone has a different target that is defined in our dreams-this gives us a reference point of what He is aiming us towards for the purpose of growing in Him.
*The reward for faithfulness is more work! Which means more assignments!
*In this process He is forming us in our character and identity into His Nature
When we live in His Voice we then begin to live in His Intercessions where He begins to cut us back where we can bare more fruit!
Luke 22:32-Jesus reveals to Peter that he will be sifted as wheat. (Separation unto the Lord)
-He also reveals His position in the denial as One Who prays for the Word to Come to pass!
Threshing Floor-
A threshing floor is of two main types: 1) a specially flattened outdoor surface, usually circular and paved, or 2) inside a building with a smooth floor of earth, stone or wood where a farmer would thresh the grain harvest and then winnow it.
-We are a picture of the grains of God that are being harvested yet we must be properly threshed and winnowed by His hand!
-Matthew 3.12-His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
*Process of Perfection Includes-these take us deeper into Him as our Intercessor! **STAIRCASE**
1- Sifting
2- Testing
3- Trying
4- Hardships-the pressures of life
5- Pressing
But… I have prayed for you! That your faith wouldn’t fail and WHEN YOU HAVE RETURNED…. Strengthen your brethren. (Luke 22:32)
He calls out His leadership before He falls! Jesus saw the Peter in the future that would be crucified upside down!
As Jesus was so we can be His intercessor to help the Body navigate their walk as he did with Peter. So much of the dreams in the Bible were to further lead and navigate us individually and collectively as a body and nation!
Intercession in the Bible thru 2 prophets:
1- Thru Zechariah-Praying for the High Priest Joshua by a vision in chapter 3. Prays against the enemies plan for Joshua to have clean robes and a clean turban. The enemy was trying to thwart the High Priests leadership in the rebuilding of the Temple.
2- Thru Haggai-Prophesying to the leaders and the remnant of Israel to see the blueprint of Gods house come forth. He was dealing with the enemy of the new house which was those that had seen the old house.
3- Thru Ezekiel-Prophesies to the dead bones which represents the House of Israel. Can these bones live? Prophesy Ezekiel!
4- Thru Elijah-Prophesies that there is a cloud coming the size of a mans hand as he hears the sound of an abundance of rain and prays it in!
Intercessor Scriptures:
Ezekiel 22:30-31-So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.
Intercessors see holes or gaps in the church thru discernment and God given perception.
Intercessors see the sins of the land and things that defile the Church.
**Intercessors MUST first examine their own hearts with the truth that being revealed!**
Intercessors respond with the Word of God and speak it over the situation by the Burden.
Intercessors know the judgments of God and. Chose to eat the hard truths and not turn away from them. (Psalms 119:103)
Intercessors are those that stand in the gap on behalf of the land as His Chosen Representative to see the breach repaired.
Intercessors are to know they must see the solution in the Word of the Lord and must pray until the mission is accomplished or they are told to stop.
Intercessors agree and Intercede as He intercedes.
Nehemiah understood how the walls of salvation and gates of praise worked together to build His City! Nehemiah became a governor of the Intercession that was happening in the heavens and he facilitated the flow!
-The Role of Administrating the Grace-His Will releases a sphere in our lives.
We must grow in letting Jesus be our Intercessor-We must hear His Voice as He calls us deeper into Him. This is where trust is developed and we learn what we must go through to be prepared to stand in Him and His purposes.
